Hey Vinyl Fam & Friends! 😊

Well, it was about damn time I made a Pink Floyd post so here we go! 😂

Here we have spinning the ninth studio album from Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here" released on September 12 1975. Track "Welcome to the Machine" being spun here specifically.

I mean, what can I say about this album, it's Pink Floyd!! and it's simply a Masterpiece!! Yes DSOTM I know is the popular favourite but for me, Wish You Were Here is a hairline finish for the win!

Mainly because of Shine on You Crazy Diamond. For me, the mix of vintage keyboards & jaw dropping synthesizer notes just draws me into a realm of psychedelic calmness no matter how many times I listen. Also, paying such incredible homage to founding Pink Floyd member, Syd Barrett who was struggling with major health issues at the time.

Also I just LOVE the meaning behind Have a Cigar. "Oh by the way, which one's pink? 😂😂 Just going to show how some music executives don't give a sh*t about the band but moreso how they'll help line their pockets instead. Which, funny enough, plays into many other PF songs if you pay close enough attention.

Fun fact: Ronnie Rondell Jr, the stuntman on the cover who is on fire, after being lit on fire for a FIFTEENTH TIME (😳) there was a shift in the wind which resulted in having portions of his eyebrows & moutsache singed off. Now that's rock n roll right there!!! 🤘

Happy Listening Everyone ✌️❤️📀
