A stark reminder of rising grocery costs comes from this comparison of the same 30-item Walmart shopping trip, which cost $68.90 in January 2020 but now totals $158.30. That is an $89.40 increase of nearly 130 percent, with everyday essentials and cases of soda also costing significantly more than they did just a few years ago.

Official Bureau of Labor Statistics data shows that food-at-home prices have risen approximately 32 percent since January 2020, following major increases in 2021 and 2022. While individual shopping baskets can experience much larger price jumps, comparisons like this highlight the growing pressure on American families trying to afford their regular groceries and manage everyday expenses.

Miracles of capitalism. Who would figure that companies only care about profit? Who would predict that more and more resources are being kept by less and less people?

And the whole time, everyone kept telling us, “well as you know, we are in a pandemic.”

When the government spends money they never collected. You pay for it, in the form of inflation. This is how it works. This is how it has been planned to work since Keynes

Yeah but inflation is supposedly 2.5-3.5%, at least that’s what they increase military pay to offset the cost 😂

It is tough for sure. As a retired and being alone with no family to contact it is scary. $18 for 3 pounds of coffee grounds. I can and have been giving up many things food and otherwise. Coffee is not one I think I can go without. It's absolutely ridiculous. The Republicans made such grandeous promises. They gave us the opposite on all of them. Crime and tempers will rise. All we can do is ask God to end it all. It's time, we can't live like this. It's hell on earth.

It’s Trump AND Biden you silly’s - stop thinking this is a left/right issue. It’s called inflation and it happens constantly throughout history regardless of who’s president!!!! A correction is coming!
