Buying a short-term rental? Don't start with the house. 🏠
Most busy professionals start by shopping for listings. The smarter order is this:
1️⃣ Market first. Demand, seasonality and who travels there shape a property's potential more than the décor does.
2️⃣ Rules second. Permits, licensing and STR limits vary from city to city (and sometimes HOA to HOA). Check them before you make an offer.
3️⃣ Design for a specific guest. Families, golf groups and bachelorette trips want different things, and your amenities and photos should speak to that guest.
4️⃣ Build systems, not a second job. Cleaning, pricing and guest messaging need a process so the property doesn't take over your calendar.
