Greetings to everyone, and happy Friday from Amsterdam!
The vet called with the results of Sir Max’s tests, and everything is looking good. His kidneys and liver are all healthy, and Sir Max is a healthy senior gentleman. The vet thinks he may simply be reacting to some of the changes around him. His neck wound is healing well, and he seems much more relaxed. Fingers crossed for brighter days ahead!
Papa Claudio was absolutely delighted with the news and is feeling much happier, too.
Yesterday, I went out for a game of pool it was a very foggy night. Today, I’m off to work for a few hours, and then I’m free for the entire weekend. It will be lovely to rest, unwind, and spend some quality time with Max.
Also, RIP Sir Patrick Stewart. Thank you for all the joy and entertainment you brought us through your incredible acting talent. That voice was truly unmatched. Safe travels, my Captain. #amsterdam #autumn #lifestyle #catlover #mmaxi26

What a crazy night in Scottsdale! 🌧️⛈️

The rain came down HARD, and flooding around Hayden & McDonald Rd. was pretty unbelievable to see in person. I ended up getting stuck at my office in North Scottsdale last night waiting for things to calm down and the roads to clear.

Arizona weather definitely knows how to keep things interesting! Stay safe out there and never try to drive through flooded roads. 🌵🌊 #scottsdale #scottsdalerealestate #scottsdaleaz🌵 #scottsdalerealtor

This journey to pick up our boy happened SO FAST. We got the call and had less than an hour to pack before driving five hours to San Antonio. On the way, we were finishing paperwork and calling our families, who had no idea we had even started the adoption process.

Then came shopping for everything we needed to bring a baby home from the hospital… except home for the week was San Antonio. Everything had to fit in the car back to Dallas the following week with our luggage and two dogs. 😂

The hospital sent us with bags of diapers, formula, and extra clothes because we had nothing. Night one, we had ONE bottle and were washing it every two hours in a bathroom sink. It was a wild ride, and we’re so thankful @crib_and_kids helped us get situated for the week and were sooo kind as we were rushing around!

We felt so unprepared physically, yet God had been preparing our hearts for this all along. 🤍

We are forever grateful for Ellis’ birth family, their love for him, and the trust they placed in us. We will never take that lightly. 🥹
