Mia del Mundo

An appreciation post for Facebook Marketplace. If I hadn’t checked Marketplace at midnight after packing my bags for my trip back home to the Philippines, I wouldn’t have come across this gem. I’d been looking for one for a bit and there she was.

8 hours on the road, there and back, hoping she’d be worth bringing home. And of course, @surfcostate was just as excited to see her and get his hands dirty tinkering with the old girl.

Now I’m selling my modern, reliable car for a 30 year old Jeep. Could be the best or worst idea I’ve ever had. Apparently, that’s where I’m at. 😂

In a world where technology seems to be advancing a little too quickly and forced upon you, I find myself drawn to things that remind me of simpler times.
