Welcome Hassan Umer Amin aka Dozakhi / Polymath to Knistern ✨ on Sunday 01 November at @richten25_space
Hassan Umer Amin AKA Dozakhi/Polymath @aoji.baoji is a Pakistani-born punk, metal and hip-hop vocalist, lyricist and writer, currently based in Berlin. Hassan was key in developing DIY underground music scenes back in Pakistan. Part of the all-immigrant hardcore punk band @zanjeerpunk and the hip-hop collective Daranti Group, his various projects have spanned continents as well as genres.
Hassan joins Knistern as Polymath, from the hip hop side of his practice, and plans to perform a solo audiovisual hip hop set.
We look forward to the musical ideas and contexts Hassan will bring and explore as part of Knistern. We are curious to explore the intersection of lyrics, writing and sound, moving across different styles in music making seeking emancipatory expression, and writing lyrics in relation to/with different genres and contexts.
Tickets for the Knistern Sunday afternoon listening and conversation session at link in bio. There will also be brunch!
Knistern is presented by @bytefm and funded by @musicboardberlin.
