From the VP Seat: wanting the title is the beginning.

Get specific about the responsibility you want to own.

The decisions. The business results. The leaders you’ll develop. The tradeoffs you’ll be accountable for.

These five areas can help you prepare for that next conversation and identify where you need more experience, exposure, or support.

Your organization owes you clear expectations and a fair path forward, too.

Which of the five are you working on?

Save this for your next career conversation. For private executive coaching inquiries, message me about the move you’re considering.

I can’t tell you how many leaders don’t fully understand revenue and P&L. They only know their function. These are such good tips.
