We talk so much about growing an audience that sometimes I think we forget about growing a reputation.

I obviously believe in digital marketing. I own a marketing company. 😂 But some of the most valuable growth in my career has happened offline.

It happened at dinners, events, coffee meetings, on airplanes, through introductions and because someone mentioned my name to someone else.

Your Instagram matters. Your website matters. Your content matters. But so does what people say about you when you aren’t there.

Build the audience. But build the reputation, too.
