Peacekeepers and peacemakers are very different. Both want peace, but they go about it in opposite ways. One manages, hides, and settles for relief right now. The other tells the truth, tolerates necessary tension, and keeps the long run in mind. One is created as a way to manage tension in a family when it feels too uncomfortable or causes too much hurt. The other is developed through insight, patience and courage.

Swipe through the difference, and notice which one feels more familiar to you.

If you identify more with a peacekeeper, you are not alone. It was necessary at some point. But maybe it’s taken too much of a toll, and it’s time to try something different.

I love this! As I have lived through several seasons of trying to “keep and make” peace, I am finding myself being more intentional with working toward being the peacemaker. It honestly teaches me to address what is happening… not always a quick fix, but has been healthy for relationships. Still working on it though 😜 thank you for sharing!
