Find what and who brings more love and laughter into your life and spend more time with them. Stay in that groove. Enjoy the weekend.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) is a darkly magical stop-motion fantasy that explores identity, artistic ambition, and the timeless search for purpose.

Directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton, the film follows Jack Skellington, the beloved Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, who grows tired of the same old annual routine. When he accidentally discovers Christmas Town, he becomes fascinated by its joy and warmth, deciding to take over the holiday himself with well-meaning yet disastrous results.

The story unfolds through enchanting musical numbers, gothic visual artistry, and a perfect blend of eerie and heartwarming tones. Jack’s obsessive enthusiasm contrasts with Sally’s quiet wisdom and silent love, giving their connection a gentle, tragic romanticism that grounds the chaotic holiday takeover.

Set between the shadowy corridors of Halloween Town and the glowing landscapes of Christmas Town, the film finds beauty in embracing who you truly are. Danny Elfman’s iconic score and Chris Sarandon’s captivating performance bring life and vulnerability to a character who proves that even the darkest hearts are capable of wonder.

Shortly after Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff called Putin a “humanitarian,” Russia fired 21 ballistic missiles at Kyiv in three waves overnight.

Across Ukraine, Russian attacks killed four civilians and injured at least 14 others during the same overnight assault, including two boys aged 10 and 13. Homes, civilian vehicles, office buildings and warehouses were hit or set ablaze.

“Almost immediately after another round of talks, Russia launched a pointed attack. This means there has been no real change in its attitude toward everything that is happening. It is important to keep trying to find the right solutions to end this war. But when Russia responds to negotiations with ballistic missiles, real pressure on Russia is needed to bring about different steps – steps toward ending the killing. Stronger air defenses and the rapid delivery of missiles, the ability to destroy ballistic missile launchers, sanctions over the war – all of this must be in place,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
