Cardi B is speaking out after comedian Mona said colorism is why Cardi gets brand deals that dark skinned women don’t. Mona, who called herself a fan, argued that being light skinned and Dominican gave Cardi an edge, following a resurfaced 2024 clip where Cardi acknowledged she benefits from colorism. Cardi responded on X, saying the 13 second clip came from a 15 minute live and that she has never denied colorism is real. She said people noticed her teeth, acne and braids long before her skin, and credited her success to hard work, strategy and talent. She also said she’s upset with Mona, claiming the comedian has been in her DMs for years asking for career advice but never asked her about the clip. She accused Mona of using her as a shield after backlash over comments about Tia Kemp, adding, “Whats that if its not colorism?” 🎥: @livebitez
I used to shop in this store in London all the time. They had a shop on almost every high street. Since moving back to the USA, however, it fell off my radar. Then the other day I put on an old JW Anderson shirt (yes, the designer at Dior) and was reminded of Uniqlo and how much I used to love them. So, I clicked over to see what was new. I was not expecting to find THE BEST BLAZER of the decade, that’s for sure. I kept my expectations measured. And then the package arrived. Slipping on each piece, I was reminded of just how good these pieces are. It’s why I still have blazers, shirts and cashmere sweaters in my closet that I bought ten years ago in London. If you only buy one thing from this whole haul, make it the blazer. Buy one size up if you want it to double as a coat and buy it in both colors to try on if you’re unsure about color matching. I don’t know why this hasn’t sold out yet. But I have a feeling today is the day ;) And, if you do order it, I want pictures. I think this is the universal blazer. I could be wrong but I’m confident that won’t be the case! Linked in stories and in profile as per the usual. You know the drill.
It’s official, and it’s heartbreaking. Out of the 50 most polluted cities in the entire world, a staggering 48 are right here in India. But we need to understand something: we cannot keep blaming the government for everything while refusing to acknowledge our own responsibility. Yes, the government must be held accountable for poor policies, weak enforcement and the lack of long-term solutions. But pollution is not just a government problem; it is a collective failure. Every year, as winter approaches, North India witnesses a sudden rise in stubble-burning incidents. Farmers continue burning crop residue, vehicles keep adding toxic emissions, construction dust goes unchecked, industries contribute to the problem, and we often treat environmental rules as optional. We complain when the AQI reaches dangerous levels, share pictures of smog on social media, and blame those in power. But what happens once the air clears? We go back to our normal lives until the next winter arrives. The harsh reality is that pollution does not care about our political preferences, religion, income or social status. It affects everyone. Children are growing up breathing toxic air, elderly people are struggling to breathe, and millions are being exposed to a health crisis they cannot simply escape. This is not about defending or attacking any political party. It is about acknowledging a national failure that demands accountability from both the authorities and citizens. We need stricter enforcement, better alternatives to stubble burning, cleaner transportation, responsible industries and, most importantly, a change in public behaviour. You got a gun up in Florida. You know everybody has guns, everyone’s swerving around, driving however they want. Yeah, bringing them to the gym. they’re running to the supermarket, filling up the cars with gas. It’s the open carry state. I got my sig 365, my jump rope, and my Louis bag, and my Rolls-Royce. Yeah, I don’t have to drive a bicycle anymore to work. I got my Rolls-Royce today. Made in England, not China. Choices at 800 a month apartment, I had no choices. Now I got mansions and hypercars. I got more choices. Howie P self-belief, self-love, self-discipline, Florida, the sunshine state, but the sun ain’t shining today, but we still can celebrate tax-free, get to keep all that money when you sell your company, voice to text, hope you’re enjoying, believing yourself, nothing’s impossible
