every room needs a little red, so let’s see where it’s hiding in the library/sitting room.

The “unexpected red theory” is the idea that a touch of red can make a space feel more pulled together, even if it doesn’t match anything else. It can be something as small as a detail in a painting, a book spine, or a little color in a rug.

I’m usually so focused on the greens and warm neutrals in here, but those little touches of red deserve some credit too.

Look around your sitting room. Do you have a little red hiding somewhere?

There are also many designers who recommend a touch of black and others a touch of yellow.

I do touch of red in every room too! Sometimes it’s just the weekly fresh flowers that I get for my kitchen table. But it totally works! Just makes the Home feel homey ❤️
