Vibrant, colorful paintings and sculptures are at the center of our current exhibit:
“I want to talk about you” the art of stella alesi
Alesi is an Austin-based artist whose works explore the relationship between artist and viewer. Her wooden sculptures and oil paintings depict abstract shapes that invite the viewer to come to their own conclusion about what they see in her art.
Her squishy series focuses on the unique shapes created under pressure. The dark shape is solid but when pressed on the colorful, squishy shape, it creates something dynamic and open to interpretation. What do you see in her art? Stop by The Nave to see more of her art on display until December 1st!
