A staggering statistic. A newspaper correction. A JFK claim that still circulates decades later. 🔎 In 1967, The Sunday Times published extraordinary odds concerning the deaths of people connected to the Kennedy assassination. But the newspaper later acknowledged a fundamental mistake: calculating the likelihood of specific, named people dying is different from calculating deaths across a much larger group. That distinction matters. Without a clearly defined population and reliable mortality data, an enormous number cannot establish a conspiracy. Congressional investigators examined the claim and individual deaths. Their review did not establish that those deaths resulted from the assassination or its investigation.
