Zaytun Ensemble

And in the end, we invited the community and our collaborates to the space that serves as our ensemble’s meeting place: the theater happening; introduced as a performative walk; our audience was following us to an original sound voice scape based on Kolja Kraft’s (@koljagieren ) recordings of local poetry, storytelling of local orignal storys in the form of guided tours along the walk led by Julla Kroner (@postbotenschreck ) and Malik Meyer (@malikzaytun ), led through group singing and poetry by Mariia Lisovska (@maril.waltz ), through the original songbook created by Marcel Tadeusz Jarocki (@marceltadeuszjarocki ) and Ola Supernak (@_olsu0 ) , to Jules Rodgers’ (@jules.rodgers ) puppet performance of the “Utopiec,” based on local legends, we invited people into the no-man’s-land; the meeting point between theatrical imagery and dialogue; through our gathering. This evolved into a happening that culminated in a shared meal around the campfire.

This gave us the opportunity to sit down with people we already knew; as well as those we met for the first time during the spektakle; and talk about the past, the present, and the future.
