Donald Trump said on Fox News that if Americans ever get tired of him, he’ll just move to Israel and become its prime minister. He also claimed he has a “99 percent approval rating” in Israel, but no poll shows anything close to that. A June 2026 Pew survey found 81% of Israelis view him favorably, while his approval rating in the US sits in the low to mid 30s. In the same interview, Trump announced that the US would stop sending Israel its $4 billion in yearly aid but would keep selling it weapons. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hasn’t confirmed that deal. Many people online mocked the prime minister comment.
