How Zhuwei Lu grows a piece of jewelry! She carves a model in wax, then grows copper over it by electroforming. The wax is melted out, and enamel goes on the surface. What’s left is a hollow, grown shell, with a texture nobody can carve by hand. Our ‘Fluid Beauties’ exhibition is on from October 17th - December 20th, 2026. NYC store viewings by appointment.
