What does hopeful leadership look like in uncertain times?
At "Taking Society Forward," co-hosted by CMU and Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA), 150 business leaders, students and alumni gathered to explore how small businesses can help build stronger communities. Through an informative panel and insightful small-group discussions, participants learned from one another what responsible leadership should look like.
"One of the objectives was to cultivate students' interaction with business mentors and community mentors," says James Magnus-Johnston, Director of the Redekop School of Business and Assistant Professor at CMU. "The beautiful thing to watch was that even when the event was formally over, the conversations kept going."
