Working together through the Safer Transport Northumbria Partnership, partners have:
✅Shared intelligence
✅Secured a Criminal Behaviour Order;
❌….and helped bring a man who caused repeated disruption across our public transport network before the courts.
His behaviour, which included repeatedly urinating and defecating on buses, trains and the Metro, caused distress for passengers, disrupted services and left staff dealing with the aftermath.
I’m pleased to see someone responsible for such disgusting and disruptive behaviour brought to justice.
Nobody should have to put up with experiences like this when travelling or going about their job!
This was a great outcome and shows the value of working together to tackle anti-social behaviour, protect passengers and make our public transport network safer and more welcoming for everyone. 👏
