First day in Zanzi was PERFECT 🥹🇹🇿 with @naru.zanzibar

Një histori e pazakontë vjen nga Australia, ku një kuzhinier italian ka humbur vendin e punës pasi refuzoi të përgatiste pica me ananas, duke e konsideruar këtë kombinim një fyerje për kulturën e vendit të tij.

Bëhet fjalë për Davide Tamburellën, i cili punonte në restorantin La Costa në Brisbane. Konflikti nisi pasi drejtuesit i kërkuan të përgatiste pica me proshutë dhe ananas për një aktivitet, por ai refuzoi, duke këmbëngulur se ananasi nuk duhet të vendoset në picë.

Sipas BBC, kjo ishte hera e tretë brenda katër viteve që kuzhinieri kishte refuzuar të zbatonte një kërkesë të tillë. Ai kishte argumentuar se një udhëzim i tillë nuk duhej zbatuar kur binte ndesh me kulturën e tij.

Megjithatë, drejtuesit e restorantit pretenduan se vendimi për shkarkimin nuk lidhej vetëm me këtë çështje. Ata ngritën shqetësime edhe për komunikimin e tij, përdorimin e gjuhës së papërshtatshme dhe konfliktet e përsëritura në ambientin e punës.

Pas largimit në muajin maj, Tamburella iu drejtua Komisionit Australian të Punës, duke pretenduar se ishte pushuar padrejtësisht. Por më 3 nëntor, kërkesa e tij u rrëzua, pasi ishte paraqitur jashtë afatit ligjor.

Ironikisht, kuzhinieri ka gjetur tashmë punë në një tjetër restorant italian në Brisbane, ku ananasi nuk është pjesë e menusë.
