Jesus did not stutter in his rebuke of Martha.

Martha had good intentions and was deeply loved by the Lord, but this was a moment of correction.. she was “concerned about many things” and yes, good things, but things that God deemed “unnecessary.” Mary chose the “better thing.” The text makes this abundantly clear.

We define success in all sorts of ways these days, but how are we doing when it comes to the only thing that is needed?

I am dreaming of a day and dreaming of a people who are obsessed with just one thing.. the glorious presence of Jesus Christ.
