On Sunday, we made the hardest decision pet parents ever have to make.
Zoey was feisty and mouthy but the sweetest little lover. For her, no walk was ever long enough. Whenever it was time for her friends to leave, she would try to fight them. I think she had attachment issues. 😂
She barked at every maintenance man until she finally forced him to pick her up. She wanted ALL the attention on her, even at the dog park or dog beach. At work, she held the position and title of “Barking Director”. She was the enforcer. Or so she thought.
Zoey was a fashionista and LOVED when it was time to put on a new outfit. Because, of course, all attention had to be on her.
She saw us through some really difficult times, including the loss of some of our other fur babies. This time, she needed me to be strong enough to make that difficult decision for her.
Our baby girl Zoey is gone. And this time, she’s not here to comfort us through the grief. 💔
Zoey just turned 16 on October 17th. Over the years, she survived having all of her teeth removed, an emergency surgery to remove her uterus, a stray cat attack, mammary tumor removal, and vestibular disease. I think she held on for as long as she could because she knew I wasn’t ready to let her go.
Zoe baby, your moms and your sisters are gonna miss you so much. ❤️🐾 We love you Zoe baby.

Zoey, The Queen of Everything 🐾 A tribute to a little dog with a very big personality Zoey was a little dog, With attitude to spare, A feisty little firecracker, With love beyond compare. No walk was ever long enough, No adventure quite complete, She'd happily keep going On those four determined feet. When friends would come to visit, She'd greet them with delight, But when they tried to leave her, Well, Zoey put up a fight! The maintenance men all knew her, Her barking was renowned, But once they picked her up to cuddle, Not another bark was found. At work she held a title, And took her job quite hard, The mighty "Barking Director," Forever standing guard. She ruled the park, she ruled the beach, She ruled each passing day, And if you weren't admiring her, She'd bark until you paid! A fashionista through and through, With outfits quite divine, She knew that every little look Deserved its chance to shine. She wanted all the cuddles, All the kisses, all the praise, And somehow made the world her stage In countless charming ways. But underneath that sassy bark, That bossy little face, Was the sweetest, most devoted heart, No other dog could replace. And though her paws have grown still, Her spirit dances on, In every laugh, in every tear, In love that isn't gone. So here's to Zoey, one of a kind, Our diva, fierce and bright, The queen of hearts, the boss of all, Our little dynamite. And somewhere over Rainbow Bridge, Where every walk's a treat, She's wearing her most fabulous dress... And barking at everyone she meets. ❤️�
