We’re honoured to welcome @rosai.velma as a teacher in our upcoming course The Book of the Shadow Queen 🌀
Velma Rosai-Makhandia is a student of the stars. Her effervescent paintings and textile works draw on numinous, dreamlike imagery to evoke celestial and otherworldly realms, where figures converge in scenes of whimsical flight, enigmatic fellowship, and journeys through subterranean worlds.
In her seminar, Velma guides us into the space between the seen and unseen. Drawing on African mythology, spirituality, and personal memory, she invites us to explore art as a portal to other worlds, guided by intuition, imagination, and the unknown.
