DON’T WASH YOUR NETS JUST YET!
One of the things I deeply desired to do this year was visit Wambugu Apples Farm. 🍎
But the months kept rolling by, and the visit wasn't happening. It was beginning to look like one of those dreams I'd have to carry into another year.
Then TODAY happened!
Travelling from Naivasha to Nanyuki, I took a different route, and BOOM! THERE IT WAS! WAMBUGU APPLES FARM, RIGHT BY THE ROADSIDE!
I couldn't believe it!
The very place I'd desired to visit for months was right before my eyes!
I reversed, turned back, and drove straight into the farm.
And it hit me: DON'T WASH YOUR NETS JUST YET!
In Luke 5, Peter had fished all night and caught nothing. He had washed his nets and was ready to call it a day. But Jesus told him to try again, and the catch was beyond what he could have imagined.
What if Peter had packed up too soon?
Sometimes, we do the same with our years. When our plans delay and our expectations aren't met, we mentally close the year and postpone our dreams.
But my experience today reminded me that a different route can lead you to a long-awaited destination!
Don't give up on 2026 yet. Keep your nets ready. Keep showing up. Keep believing.
Your next catch may be closer than you think!
What are you still believing to accomplish before the year ends?
