(English in the first comment)

A behaviour we attribute to someone's character is often produced by the role they occupy. This is the subject of the new issue of my newsletter Réflexions (in French). I explore organizational role analysis, a framework developed by Irving Borwick in the 70's: the role is neither the person nor the organisation, it's the link between the two. And it's often that link, not the person, that produces the behaviour we try to fix. When that link isn't fully allowed to exist, it's usually the person we try to fix first. However we should investigate the role. Link in bio.
