This is something I wish I’d understood sooner as a mom of 3. Comment “PARENT” and I’ll DM you the full episode. On @themelrobbinspodcast, my daughter and @theletthemtheory co-author @sawyerrobbins and I had one of the most honest and emotional conversations we’ve ever had about the mistakes I made as a parent, what I’m still working on, and what we both wish we understood about each other. 🎧 “How Did Your Parents Mess You Up? My Daughter Got Brutally Honest About What I Got Wrong” Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube - search “Mel Robbins Podcast Parenting”
Today is the day my sweet dear Mom went to Heaven. I miss her sooooo much... Every single day I think of her.. My heart hurts. There is nothing like a Mother’s love. She was the very BEST. I want to call her right now, just to talk... She was full of life.. Raised all five of us kids with so much devotion, so selfless, and so much fun. I cherish all the wonderful memories and will always feel her by my side... I am so grateful and blessed to have the most special bond with my amazing sisters and brother.. Our Mom did that for us with her love of family... And now I get to be a GRANDMA to my sweet little Lila.. and I want to be as wonderful a Grandma to her as my Mom was to Kelly and Katie and all her 11 grandchildren.. I know she is our angel taking care of us (still) and is so proud, and I will carry her love of family with me in every single moment I get with Lila!! Thank you to our sweet Mom!! Xoxoxo
Here we are on the other side of another @peachtober :-) I always like to introduce myself for those who are new around here: I’m Sha’an but lots of you know me as furrylittlepeach (a tumblr handle I created in 2010 because I wanted to blog and not study for my exams). I am an artist, illustrator and children’s author who loves to create vibrant, whimsical pictures for adults & children and tell stories in hopes the things I make can be a portal to joy, nostalgia and escapism especially in these chaotic and distressing times. I’ve documented my practice and life on youtube for the last decade - come find me! My art studio is always messy. I live in Sydney, Australia with @rocketweijers and our cat Tonka ✨ I love analysing song lyrics, café hopping, going to the cinema, watching reality tv with my friends, and going to bookstores with a little drink. I’m always open to book recs and love to read speculative fiction, celebrity memoirs + non-fiction about the creative practice/creative psyche. I decided to make peachtober on a whim, the day before october in 2018 - a choice that was fortuitous because the community that rallied around it is honestly one of my favourite parts of the internet and was completely unexpected. Whether it’s your first or your eighth year - whether you created 31 paintings, a single sketch or simply spectated - thank you for making this community as special as it is! It truly is the cherry on top of my year every year, and this year for me turned out to have wild highs and unpredictable lows so I feel I really needed it. If you’re still reading this please go and check out the featured artists on @peachtober, give them a follow and lots of love - it helps train your algo to show you more art and more artists which can only be a good thing! I would love if you’d leave the creators you discovered and loved this year in the comments so we can discover them too! Note: I saw a bunch of you mention the hashtags changed for the worse this year. Leave it with me! I will be investigating and will hopefully have some solutions for next year :-) much love!!!!!
𝐔𝐏 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐒! 🤘⚡ Just having some fun exploring different universes through the eyes of Eddie (Derk Riggs rules!), the legendary mascot of Iron Maiden. This fan-made collection was made purely just for fun, blending sci-fi, historical, and epic themes while keeping the core heavy metal spirit alive. Which version of Eddie is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below! 👇 #ironmaiden #uptheirons #heavymetal #ironmaidenfanart #eddiethehead
Channelling my inner Morticia with a few of my favourite black ensembles… Thoughts?
