The ceremony brought together members of the Wigwe and Aikhomu families, alongside friends and loved ones, for a colourful celebration featuring traditional marriage rites and cultural festivities. Tochiโ€™s aunt, in a social media tribute, shared details of the occasion, including the payment of the bride price, signing of family documents and the formal handing over of Tochi to her husband. She also reflected on the absence of Tochiโ€™s parents, Herbert and Chizoba Wigwe, and her elder brother, Chizi, who died in a helicopter crash in California on February 9, 2024. Quoting Isaiah 61:3, the aunt described the occasion as โ€œbeauty for ashesโ€, expressing gratitude that Tochi was able to begin a new chapter of her life despite the familyโ€™s painful loss. SOLO SPEAKING DUTCH ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ today i was aboard the VOC ship โ€˜Amsterdam.โ€™ in 1749, during its maiden voyage, the Amsterdam was lost in a storm off the south coast of england, near hastings. this is a beautiful replica built in 1982. something to keep in mind: the VOC has a long history, and while itโ€™s cool that a country so small once ruled the world, there was a lot of bloodshed behind this company. if you are curious please read about it online in more depth. the quest for power was not bloodless. just something to keep in mind while watching this :) enjoy the video โš“๏ธ
