'Houston House'
One of a pair of framed drawings commissioned to be kept within the very thing they represent: the home.
Rendered in graphite on torn cotton paper, the drawing explores the duality between interior and exterior; two perspectives held in quiet dialogue. Architectural forms emerge and dissolve into a soft haze, allowing certain spaces, details and focal points to remain while others recede into the unfinished.
There is something quietly evocative about these fragments of a home: tangible narratives caught in time, preserving not only the structure of a place, but the feeling of inhabiting it.
Graphite on 100% Cotton Rag Sketchbook, A4.
