Today’s to do list, sixth grade math teacher edition:
1. Teach math to 30 sixth graders who are somehow hungry, tired, and full of energy all at the same time.
2. Grade the papers that didn’t get done yesterday, because I was grading papers.
3. Input data into a spreadsheet that was supposed to get done during prep hour, but didn’t get done, because I was busy emailing parents, tracking interventions, prepping the next lesson, and analyzing data.
4. Try to find five minutes to use the bathroom. You know that doesn’t happen.
6. Repeat myself and give the instructions a gazillion times, just to have a student ask, “What are we supposed to do?”
7. Eat my food as fast as possible, or don’t finish it at all, because I only have 20 minutes for lunch.
8. Hall duty. Bus duty. Ugh!
🤩And then, book the cruise.🛳️
Because this is the reason, this is the exact reason why I need a cruise. And I’m building a way to do it.
