On World Polio Day, SOC Films is celebrating the frontline workers in the fight against polio by presenting you with the stories of four of them from our short documentary film ‘Across Every Doorway’.

In Islamabad, we meet Dr Ribqa, who demonstrates how environmental and human samples are tested for traces of the polio virus. These results allow us to see a much more accurate scale of the disease and how to control its spread.

Since the launch of the Pakistan Polio Eradication Initiative in 1994, the country has reduced polio cases by over 99.8%. This would not have been possible without the hard work of frontline workers, volunteers, and partners, whose dedication has protected children across the nation.
