The world is almost polio-free. Pakistan is one of the last two countries where the fight isn’t over. Across Every Doorway — coming soon by @soc_films
In honour of World Polio Day, SOC Films presents “Across Every Doorway,” a short documentary celebrating the frontline workers striving to end polio in Pakistan. In the coming days, SOC Films will share glimpses of these heroes, whose resilience and dedication help thousands of children remain polio-free! Since the launch of the Pakistan Polio Eradication Initiative in 1994, the country has reduced polio cases by over 99.8%. This would not have been possible without the hard work of frontline workers, volunteers, and partners, whose dedication has protected children across the nation. by @soc_films

Five years ago, I started Patakha Pictures with a simple belief: that the next generation of Pakistani female filmmakers deserved the opportunity to tell their own stories, find their voices, and claim their rightful place in world cinema. Five years later, that belief has grown into something bigger than I could have imagined. ❤️ 76 filmmakers. 100+ film festivals. 24 countries. And countless stories, voices, and perspectives that are finding their way into the world. We’ve opened doors, challenged barriers, created opportunities, and built a community of storytellers who are changing the narrative one film at a time. And the most exciting part? We’re just getting started… by @soc_films

Our fellows @ishmaareeb and @javaria.waseem highlight the pivotal work Anum Shakoor is undertaking in the sport of Naiza Baazi, in their documentary “The Horses Know Her Name”!
