Celestial Intersect is coming to the big screen! 👻🎬

The award-winning ghost-hunting mockumentary, filmed entirely in Worcester and created by University of Worcester graduates Ben Monk and Joshua Prior, will have its general audience premiere at The Mockingbird Cinema in Digbeth on Friday 6 November.

Following its success at film festivals - including winning Best UK Film at Realtime International Film Festival this is your chance to see Richard De’Vaughn’s eccentric paranormal adventure in the cinema before it arrives on streaming later this year.

Local film journalists will be attending, and we’d love to hear what audiences think of the film too.

Tickets: https://loom.ly/1mKzUsE

A recap of the first day of Prince Reza Pahlavi’s visit to Belgium

Prince Reza Pahlavi began his Brussels visit at the European Parliament, urging lawmakers to end appeasement of the Islamic Republic and support Iranians through internet access, targeted pressure, and international parliamentary cooperation.

Meanwhile, Iranians marched through Brussels and gathered outside Parliament to welcome him and call for freedom.

After nearly a year of working on it, the longest it’s ever taken me to finish a painting by far, I’m so proud to present you my latest painting, Kankakee, 1938. Here we see a train of the New York Central passing through Kankakee, Illinois.

So why did it take me a year to work on? For the best reasons. I met the woman of my dreams, unfortunately she lives across the pond so we spent every free minute I had FaceTiming, getting to know each other and falling in love. Then I took up a second job with Uber because I reckon, being unmarried, living by myself, that I should take this season of my life as an opportunity to make some good money because I refuse to work more hours than I have to when I’m married.

Then my now fiancée came to America for the summer, and finally I was able to paint on Sundays because we’d spend all day creating together. You should check out @aroundtheyeardiy . As a creative, I can’t drive home what a difference it makes to be with a fellow creative, we understand how important how sacred each other’s creating time is.

All this to say, this took me a year to make and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. With me becoming Catholic and meeting the girl of my dreams just two weeks after I started working on this painting, I can say:

This painting was worked on during the most important and transformative time of my life.

I hope you all enjoy!

The magical book that started it all is now in a must-have TV tie-in edition. ✨ Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, a new HBO original series coming this Christmas to HBO Max. Find out more at the link in bio.

It’s no secret that GLP-1 medications, like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro, have helped millions of people across the globe — including professional athletes — with weight loss, appetite regulation, and blood sugar control. That said, there are many, many side effects that come with taking the increasingly popular drugs. For example, you’ve probably heard of the term “Ozempic face,” which refers to the sagging of the facial skin that can occur after extremely rapid weight loss. Per the Cleveland Clinic, some more GLP-1 side effects include nausea, hair loss, and “Ozempic butt” — aka muscle loss in the backside.

Well, this week on X, several social media users discovered a lesser-known side effect that some GLP-1 users have reported experiencing: “Ozempic vagina.” In response to a viral post about “the rise of Ozempic vagina,” one user tweeted, “a close friend verified that it happened to her and she let me see but more importantly, she let me gasp and laugh in shock because that MF really slid DOWN.” The post quickly racked up more than 3 million views and has prompted several people to question: What on earth is “Ozempic vagina?”

Well, according to Medical News Today, “Ozempic vagina” or “Ozempic vulva” refers to changes in the “appearance and comfort of the genital area” following rapid weight loss. Per the outlet, people who have experienced “vulvovaginal changes” report experiencing “loss of volume and plumpness in the labia majora and mons pubis,” “sagging or wrinkled skin,” and “changes in the shape of the vulva.”

(To be clear, there is no official scientific research that reports on “Ozempic vagina,” and while weight loss can certainly result in looser skin in the genital area, other factors — like fluctuating hormones — might also explain changes.)
