7 days agoWAIT A COTTON-PICKING MINUTE! CHRISTIAN PASTOR TAKES ON TWO WIVES! STOP CONFUSING WHAT THE ALMIGHTY PERMITS WITH WHAT HUMAN BEINGS DESIRE! POLYGAMY IS SCRIPTURAL! THAT IS NOT UP FOR DEBATE! Abraham, Jacob, and David had multiple wives! ISAIAH 4:1 describes seven women seeking one man, offering to provide their own food and clothing, asking only to bear his name and have their disgrace (reproach of being unmarried) removed. EXODUS 21:10 establishes marital obligations when another wife is taken. DEUTERONOMY 21:15 - 17 protects inheritance rights in households with two wives. THE TORAH DOCUMENTS PLURAL MARRIAGE AND ESTABLISHES RESPONSIBILITIES! BUT HERE IS WHERE WE DRAW THE LINE! Multiple women marrying one husband DOES NOT mean every sexual arrangement is sanctioned by the CREATOR! MARRIAGE IS NOT A BLANK CHECK TO DISREGARD DIVINE COMMANDMENTS! And remember: EACH WIFE MUST HAVE HER OWN KITCHEN! That’s my advice, not a Torah commandment! LEVITICUS 18:22 prohibits sexual relations between males, demonstrating that Torah establishes boundaries concerning sexual conduct. NO! MARRIAGE IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR A SEXUAL FREE-FOR-ALL! However, we must distinguish what Torah explicitly prohibits from what individuals interpret it to prohibit. CONSENT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY EQUAL DIVINE APPROVAL! You cannot defend plural marriage through Scripture while refusing to examine marital conduct through Scripture! THE SCRIPTURES ARE NOT A MENU! You cannot select what satisfies your desires and discard what challenges your behavior! The question is NOT whether society approves of your marriage. THE QUESTION IS WHETHER YOUR CONDUCT ALIGNS WITH THE COMMANDMENTS YOU PROFESS TO FOLLOW! WHAT SCRIPTURE COMMANDS, PERMITS, AND DESCRIBES MUST NEVER BE CONFUSED! THE WORD OF THE CREATOR MUST NEVER BE MANIPULATED TO JUSTIFY HUMAN DESIRES! SHALOM!
8 days agoIn this hour, we cannot afford to be distracted by the things the enemy throws our way. Distractions are designed to shift our focus from the work God has called us to do. As believers and members of the body of Christ, we must remember that God has given us free will. While it may be difficult to witness certain behaviors within the church, we each have the responsibility to make choices that reflect our faith, our convictions, and God’s will for our lives. My prayer is that we find the courage to remain focused, raise our voices, and continue showing up for a world filled with people who are hungry, hurting, lonely, and waiting for the sons and daughters of God to be revealed. There is still so much work to be done, so much love to share, and so many lives to impact.
