💚Today is National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day 💚 Did you know that I created a series of books and dolls to promote mental health, SEL, and self-esteem? Research continues to show that mental health and self-esteem are deeply connected to academic success, relationships, and long-term well-being. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 40% of high school students reported feeling persistently sad or hopeless, highlighting the growing need for emotional support and prevention-focused programming for youth. As an educator and social emotional learning specialist, I created the Dream Nation Social Emotional Learning Curriculum to help middle school girls develop confidence, emotional awareness, leadership skills, healthy relationships, and self-esteem in safe and empowering spaces. I also wrote the book Bella’s Gift, which follows a young girl who discovers her self-worth after traveling to Dream Nation Universe. The story was intentionally created to help girls see themselves as capable, gifted, and valuable. (My life on display - true story.) My work is rooted in both research and real-world experience. After more than 20 years in education, I have seen firsthand what happens when girls are given the tools, language, and support to believe in themselves. Mental health support must include prevention, identity development, belonging, and emotional safety. That is why this work matters. When you feel like giving up, it’s a sign to keep going. You’re so close! There is value in the PROCESS. ✨ THE FAITH TO GO FURTHER! Sis, there comes a moment when the vision God placed in your heart calls you to rise beyond what feels comfortable. That is where courage meets faith and possibility begins to unfold. Trust the gifts God has given you by embracing the opportunities before you. We know that God is making a way, and the beautiful thing about walking with Him is that every step of faith can lead to something greater than we ever imagined. Keep going, sis. There is purpose in your pursuit! 💕 📖 Philippians 4:13 NIV “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” #faith #hope #dreams #life #faithtalk by @thecreativedreamer_

Saying goodbye is not always easy! 😆 Let’s learn five ways to say goodbye in French. 👋🏾🇫🇷 1. Au revoir ! Goodbye! 2. Salut ! Bye! 3. À bientôt ! See you soon! 4. À plus tard ! See you later! 5. À demain ! See you tomorrow! #language #bilingual #learnfrench #learnenglish #languagelearning by @thecreativedreamer_
From global protests to local stories that leave us wondering how we got here, it can be difficult to hold on to hope. Still, we must vote, make our voices heard, and continue spreading love and light every single day. As I encourage myself, I encourage you: keep your hope anchored in the God we trust. Even amid everything we are witnessing, the work we do in our homes, on our jobs, and through our organizations, missions, ministries, and businesses still matters. Stay engaged and rooted in love. Keep doing the work that brings healing and hope into the world. I love you all!! Continue to spread your light. 🤍 and PLEASE VOTE. #humanity #hope #vote #pray by @thecreativedreamer_

Ice cream for good grades! ☺️🍦📚 Blessed to have quiet moments to celebrate the accomplishments of our beautiful boys as the quarter ends. The older they get, the harder it is to find these moments. So grateful! #sons #proudmamma #boymom by @thecreativedreamer_
