I know there’s A LOT of mixed feeling and opinions regarding this film and when I first finished I thought “eh, that was interesting. I get it.” Then nighttime hit, and I remembered I was afraid of the dark and the unknown within it and overthought my way into a sleepless night.

The fact that this entity literally tortures this kid for no reason for who knows how long is the equivalent of the fear you get when the strangers are asked why they’re doing what they do and they flatly answer “because you were home.” Some things are just scary because they can be and having no reason almost seems worse than having one at all for me. 😭
