NO VACANCY
Acrylic, oil pastels on canvas
36 x 24 inches
@santoraart

Curator’s Note:
Rob Santora’s NO VACANCY painting makes everything feel wonderfully askew. At first, the viewer is bright in by bright and bold colors, but then it becomes clear that everything is tilted, twisting away from the viewer. Personally, I feel like you can’t tell if you’re coming or going, but I’m guessing it’s a memorable stay either way.

We’re entering the final days of Nocturne & Catawampus. See Robert’s work in person through November 1, or visit arborgallery.art.

Thanks, Kelly! I’m glad the painting has people seeing things a little sideways… I was starting to worry it was just me! 😂 So grateful to be part of the show and to have my work in such wonderfully twisted company!
