Trigger Warning ⚠️ Tragically, nine people were headed to the Bahamas when their private jet crashed in Palm Beach County on Sunday, November 1. Now, air traffic control recordings reveal the crew’s desperate calls for help before impact. According to CNN’s reporting, the pilot initially reported moderate turbulence and ice accumulating on the aircraft. After requesting to climb, the pilot declared an emergency and reported that the plane was descending rapidly. The recordings were captured by LiveATC.net. Investigators have not determined whether weather caused the crash. “We’re out of time,” a crew member can be heard saying in the audio reported by the New York Post. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed that everyone aboard the Learjet 60 died. The aircraft departed Austin, Texas, for North Eleuthera in the Bahamas and crashed near Cresthaven around 12:50 p.m. The NTSB is investigating. Our hearts are with the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. 🕊️ Reporting: CNN, Reuters and New York Post. Audio: LiveATC.net.
