Welcome to our family, sweet Honey. 🩷🐕‍🦺 Thank you for bringing light into our lives during such a difficult time. You may never know the sadness you walked into, but you’ve already brought us so much happiness.

Losing my sweet Lucky after 16 beautiful years together left a hole in my heart that words could never fully explain. He wasn’t just a “dog”; he was family, my first born, my son, my good boy, a piece of our lives, and a love that will forever be irreplaceable. Sixteen years of memories, unconditional love, and a bond that time could never erase. 💔🐾

When we first brought Honey home, I honestly felt numb. As happy as I knew I should have been, my heart was/is still grieving Lucky. Part of me felt guilty trying to welcome a new little soul into a space that still belonged so deeply to him and his grieving sister Abbie who had stopped eating due to the loss… I knew Honey deserved love and little by little, she began to find her way into our hearts. 🥹🩷 Through her playful puppy personality, her sweet little kisses, her silly antics, and the happiness she brings into our home, she has reminded us that even after heartbreak, joy can find its way back in. Love doesn’t replace love; it GROWS around it.

Honey is obsessed with me, follows me everywhere and even cries for me. It’s as if she knows how bad my heart is broken from losing Lucky and is trying her best to make it whole again…Maybe healing doesn’t mean letting go of the ones we’ve lost. Maybe it means learning to carry them with us while allowing ourselves to love again.
One paw print will forever be etched in our hearts, and another is helping us learn to smile again. We love you, Lucky. And we love you, Honey. Two different souls, two beautiful loves, and one heart forever grateful for both. 🤍🐾 🌈🐾
