Join us at The Banksia Tavern on Friday 30 October from 5pm for a special listening party celebrating Country Guilt, the brand new album from one of our favourite South West songwriters, So Lonesome.

The solo project of Brooke Kelly, So Lonesome blends country, folk and roots rock with heartfelt storytelling, raw, stripped-back sounds and a little grit around the edges.

Recorded at Melbourne’s Alaska Studios, the album features members of Australian rock legends Kingswood as Brooke’s backing band.

Inspired by life on the road and people met along the way, it’s music that feels equally at home on a dusty highway or in the front bar of your favourite pub.

We’ll play Country Guilt in full, with Brooke sharing the stories behind the songs. Then he’ll take over the turntables for a Friday night vinyl set, spinning the records that inspired the album. The music behind the music, straight from the man himself.

Settle in with a drink for an evening of good records, good company and homegrown music.
