Need the perfect tunes for your Sunday arvo! My new ep is out NOW 🎉. Recorded back in 2021 in a cottage Busselton W.A, it is a collection of songs (predominantly in 3/4 time oddly) that I had been working on whilst playing Sunday Sessions at @rockyridgetaphouse Due to Victoria’s hard lockdown, I was lucky enough to have very pleasant, and extremely talented company in Alex Laska and Kyran Daniel from Oz legends Kingswood, who were more than happy to enjoy W.A’s relaxed CoVid restrictions. The cottage was converted into a studio with the usage of two vintage Neumann mics (both once used at NYC’s famous Hit Factory recording studio!) My good mate Baz (The Baron) Elverd came in to play drums, even surviving an attempt on his life by eating a slice of cake hand delivered by a grumpy neighbour! “Please just stop drumming “! It’s not a true release for me if I don’t have a family member involved, and this time it was Eli’s turn to lay down some vocals, and vent some teenage angst. Then the enigma that is Richelle Cox came to stay, and experienced one of the strangest occurrences of all when a door fell on her face whilst asleep (engineering failure of the vocal both) But like the trooper she is, a black eye didn’t affect the finger snapping she laid down on the track Clocks. It was an strange time for sure, but we had an absolute blast! Hopefully you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!! Massive thanks to Alex Laska for being the inspiring human that he is, and the effort he put into this project! And special thanks to Patsy for the wonderful artwork and her ongoing support😘 by @solonesomemusic

Join us at The Banksia Tavern on Friday 30 October from 5pm for a special listening party celebrating Country Guilt, the brand new album from one of our favourite South West songwriters, So Lonesome. The solo project of Brooke Kelly, So Lonesome blends country, folk and roots rock with heartfelt storytelling, raw, stripped-back sounds and a little grit around the edges. Recorded at Melbourne’s Alaska Studios, the album features members of Australian rock legends Kingswood as Brooke’s backing band. Inspired by life on the road and people met along the way, it’s music that feels equally at home on a dusty highway or in the front bar of your favourite pub. We’ll play Country Guilt in full, with Brooke sharing the stories behind the songs. Then he’ll take over the turntables for a Friday night vinyl set, spinning the records that inspired the album. The music behind the music, straight from the man himself. Settle in with a drink for an evening of good records, good company and homegrown music. Friday 30 October | From 5pm | Free Entry by @solonesomemusic

My good friends at the Banksia Tavern are throwing a Listening Party for my new album 'Country Guilt', out this Friday 30th October. If you are a local come on down at 5pm, where I'll have a chat about the album and its creation. Then we'll listen through the entire album loud and proud. Come 6pm, I'll be hitting the turntables to spin some albums that have influenced me, and 'Country Guilt! If, for obvious geographical reasons, you can't be there, make sure you have a listen on Friday and let me know what you think! #southwestmuso #metropolitangroovemerchants #cartelaustralia #banksiatavern by @solonesomemusic
BIG NEWS! My new album 'Country Guilt' is all set for release on Friday 30th October via MGM Distribution. It has been a long while coming (believe me), but I am now ready to share it in all its glory for you to experience. Songs written in the backyard, tested in beer gardens and pub stages, then recorded in inner city Melbourne with great mates! Initially only out via Digital streaming, but never fear audiophiles, physical copies are coming. Let me know your thoughts when it drops! I'm excited for you to experience some Country Guilt. #MetropolitanGrooveMerchants #CartelAustralia #Alaskasounds by @solonesomemusic
So... short notice, but this is tonight folks! If anyone is looking for a great night out in Busselton tonight, I hit the stage about 6:30pm, followed by two great local bands. by @solonesomemusic
Cheers to MGM for the support on this new project of mine! 'Oh Lover' is out now, and the film clip is now available to view at your leisure on YouTube! #thegroovemerchants #solonesomemusic #alaskasounds #brookekellymusic by @solonesomemusic
Here is a cute little film clip for my new release 'Oh Lover'. It was filmed on a wild, wintery day in the South West of WA, as you can tell by the trees and the swell of the ocean in Gracetown! I nearly cancelled, as the drone we were going to use couldn't fly in the howling wind, but we made do with hand held cameras, cutie pie actors, and a classic old Holden! Massive thanks to Mark, Aly, Jesse, Ella, Patsy and Georgia #mgmdistribution #thegroovemerchants #alaskasounds #patriciagkellyartist by @solonesomemusic
Fridays can be tough, so I have thrown down 1:46 of the most heartfelt power pop I can muster, just for you! Check out So Lonesome 'Oh Lover' Available 28/8/26 Cute little video to follow by @solonesomemusic
