One thing I really wish more of our people knew? You don’t have to just accept everything you’re told at work.

Recently, I’ve supported two people through some pretty tough workplace situations, and we’ve been able to get some really positive outcomes.

And honestly, this is exactly why I do what I do.

I think sometimes, as our people, we can be so trusting of people in positions of authority. If HR says it, if our manager says it, if the company says it, we just assume it must be right.

We don’t question it. We don’t push back. We don’t always realise that we’re allowed to challenge things or ask for more information.

And I get it. Nobody wants to be seen as difficult. Nobody wants to put their job at risk. Sometimes you just want to keep your head down and get on with it.

But you can respect people and still question their decisions. You can be a good employee and still stand up for yourself.

Just because someone tells you something doesn’t automatically make it right.

A big part of what I do through Found & Co is helping people navigate these situations, understand their options and feel confident enough to advocate for themselves.

And I just wish more of our people knew that they don’t have to figure it all out on their own.

Because knowing your rights and having someone in your corner can make such a difference.

Our people deserve to know better, so we can do better for ourselves. 🤎
