My heart is so heavy. 💔
There was only one Dolores Huerta. A force of nature. A fearless fighter. A woman who dedicated her life to justice, dignity, equality, and workers’ rights. She fought for our community, for those whose voices weren’t heard, and for what was right. And she never backed down.
From the moment I learned who she was, I looked up to her. She inspired me to speak up, to stand against injustice, to march, to protest, and to never be afraid to fight for what I believe in.
I will forever cherish the moment I had the honor of meeting her. She looked into your eyes, listened to you, and made you feel like you mattered.
Her life was a reminder that change happens when we stand together, even when the fight is hard.
She leaves us with enormous shoes to fill. But what a legacy. What a life. What an extraordinary woman.
May we continue telling her story, honoring her sacrifices, and carrying on the fight she dedicated her life to.
