What reason do you have for reading The Hobbit after Return of the King? The Hobbit begins the adventure. Sure, it was written for young people, but it is still the foundation of the adventures in Middle Earth. And it has Tom Bombadil.

I grew up with the movies and have watched them every year since they were released. Despite being a massive fan of the films, I somehow never got around to reading the books… until now! With paternity leave here, I’ve decided to fully embrace Hobbitmaxxing this fall and winter, slowing down, enjoying the cozy season, and finally immersing myself in Tolkien’s world. I finished The Hobbit just a few days ago and officially started The Fellowship of the Ring yesterday! I can’t tell you how excited I am to experience Middle-earth in an entirely new way. Your content has only made me more excited for this journey and all the stories, characters, and wonders that await me as I dive deeper into Tolkien’s legendarium. It feels like I’m discovering a world I’ve loved my entire life all over again!
