We’re delighted to welcome writer and curator Vince Aletti to The Image Centre next week for a special tour of Richard Avedon Immortal, led alongside curator Paul Roth.
A longtime contributor to The New Yorker and former photo critic for The Village Voice, Aletti has written extensively on photography, fashion, and visual culture. His books include Avedon: Fashion 1944–2000, Issues: A History of Photography in Fashion Magazines, Physique, and The Drawer, named Photobook of the Year at Paris Photo in 2023.
Together, Aletti and Roth will explore Avedon’s distinctive approach to aging and portraiture across five decades of his practice.

I certainly wish I was going to be back in Toronto for this! Vince Aletti is one of the best. Aletti and Roth will be something special.
