“The Folly” : a delightful street in Hertford / what it feels like touring with jet lag where you drive on the opposite side of the street than you’re used to…
Big thanks to the lovely folks who came out to our first UK show last night @backroadshertford , and thanks to Naomi for having us. We so very much appreciated the warm welcome! 🙏 Fun fact: Hartford, CT was named after Hertford, UK… but the spelling was changed in the US to keep the UK pronunciation intact. I can confirm that this did not work in the opposite direction as I successfully mispronounced the town several times! (Sorry!)
Anyway, I’m pretty sure I’m still pronouncing London correctly, so come see us there tonight @folkandroots SoHo! #uktour #americana #fiddle #singersongwriter #newmusic
