4 days agoI had a small role in a period TV series once where I was a trail rider who found a girl along the trail whose town had been washed out by a flood. I was in before crew call, and basically sat around in my trailer all morning (except a short break so the stunt coordinator could see if I could actually ride). We're getting close to lunch and we're losing the light. After sitting around for so many hours, I get rushed to set, wired, get on the horse, handed the girl, and "Action!" I ride into town, hand the girl off of the horse to another actor, deliver my line, quick reposition while we're still rolling, we do the other actor's dialogue again. "Cut! That's lunch!" I was wrapped. Luckily I was prepared, because I only got one take and there was no rehearsal.
