I grew up moving from city to city across Pakistan, and somewhere along the way I fell in love with reading. Then came 8 years in the US, an engineering degree, a job as an automation engineer at a gypsum plant in small-town Iowa. I didn’t really love it tbh.. so I came home, studied gender and cyberpsychology, and worked in mental health research, then with an NGO on digital and financial inclusion for women. These days I work remotely, building workflows for teams.

I’ve written two books, both self-published here, and since last year I’ve been working on a novel I’m really excited about. Desi culture, the warm parts and the hard ones, still rarely shows up in books published at a big scale, and that’s what I want to write. I live in Islamabad with my parents and my three cats, and I’m so glad you’re here. :)
