‘You Can’t Force a River’
I am pleased to share that I am showing new work in an exhibition opening tomorrow at
@thegeorgenewnham The exhibition is called ‘Migration’ and is a group show of printmaking and glass by mostly Forest of Dean artists, put together by
@theyardprintstudio and friends.
We’ve all made work on the theme of migration, and I’ve just spent four days putting it all together and up on the walls. It is a show to go see!
This work is an installation of Monotype prints on Japanese tissue and newsprint, in response to the poem ‘You Can’t Force a River’ by
@emmamusty_author The delicate tissue allows light to shine through the work and lets images show up in layers, changing as you move around and through the work.
The exhibition opens tomorrow at 10am and is on until Saturday 14th November 10-4pm (closed Sundays and Mondays).
There are also three evening events where you can meet the artists and engage in discussion on the theme. The first being our opening night tomorrow night 6-8pm!
All welcome!
