The 317th feature in Quint’s Movie Journey is the 1999 Shunichi Nagasaki J-horror film; Shikoku. Believe or not, this is my first J-Horror (Japanese Horror) movie, I didn’t follow the movies when the J-Horror craze was popular. This is what I love about what I’m doing, I’m discovering movies and genres that I missed out due to not being alive, too young to watch them at the time, or availability. I’m watching it off of the @arrowvideo J-Horror Rising boxset.

Synopsis: When Hinako was a child she was separated from Fumiya and Sayori as she moved to Tokyo. Now she has returned to Shikoku, but it turns out that Sayori drowned. When Hinako starts seeing Sayori in her dreams, she seeks help from Fumiya.

How to layer a dress for cold winter weather! (Petite-friendly 👏)

I like to add lightweight layers under a dress in the winter. Maybe a turtleneck or a lightweight wool crewneck.

I add tights and a slip on top of my tights so the dress doesn’t cling. Then tuck my top into the tights to keep things smooth.

Of course, finish the look with knee-high boots and a warm coat and scarf!

As always, these outfits are shown unaltered on me at 4’10”. For size comparison I typically wear petite 00/24/xxs and have a 25” ankle inseam and 28” full length inseam.

What if I painted a mural?🤍

I asked my husband that question standing in our guest room, at one of the most confusing times of my life. Shortly after finding out I was pregnant, I got laid off. I felt so much joy and so much fear at the same time, and I didn’t know where to put any of it.

So I put it into her. Our baby girl, and her nursery.

I’d never painted a mural before. But I’ve always loved to paint and create, and for the first time in a long time, I felt inspired. 🐶 ⛰️

I hand-drew every line, inspired by Stilton, our first baby, and by every trail, mountain, and adventure that led us here. I wanted her to wake up every morning surrounded by our story 🥹🩷

“Worst case scenario, I’ll just paint over it,” I told him.

20+ hours later, I could never paint over it. This wall has held my worries, my hopes, and so many quiet tears. It’s the most meaningful thing I’ve ever designed, and it isn’t even finished yet. 🎨🌿🐾
