JESUS OLIVARES MAKES POWERLIFTING HISTORY! 🏆

@mega.gojira has just produced the biggest raw powerlifting total in drug-tested competition history, with an incredible 1,154 kg total!

485 kg Squat
281.5 kg Bench Press
387.5 kg Conventional Deadlift

But didn’t Colton Engelbrecht recently set the all-time raw world record with 1,225 kg?

Yes, and that record still stands.

However, there are some important differences between these two historic performances.

• Drug-tested vs non-tested competition
• Walked-out squat vs monolift
• Standard powerlifting bar vs specialist deadlift bar
• Conventional vs sumo deadlift

These points make the circumstances harder for Jesus, however, something that makes Colton’s ATWR outrageously impressive is the bodyweight difference.
Colton weighed 125.3kg and Jesus weighed 190.4kg. This is a 65.1kg weight difference that works in Jesus’ favour.

Both athletes competed raw, and both performances are absolutely extraordinary.

While conventional and sumo deadlifts are officially recognised under the same rules, I personally believe they’re different enough mechanically to warrant separate recognition.

That’s not taking anything away from Colton’s achievement. It’s simply acknowledging the different conditions under which these records were achieved.

Colton holds the outright raw total record at 1,225 kg. Jesus holds the drug-tested raw total record at 1,154 kg.

And here’s something interesting: Jesus has previously deadlifted 417.5 kg in competition. Had he matched that performance, his total would have been 1,184 kg!

Two incredible athletes pushing the boundaries of human strength.

Congratulations to Jesus Olivares. Absolutely phenomenal performance!
